Snapshots


Snapshot Users, Groups, and Associated Data

Once you have created set of Groups, Users, and associated data for a Demonstration, you can easily create a snapshot of any or all of that configuration.


Creating a Snapshot

Click the Add A Snapshot Button button to create a new snapshot.

A dialog will open allowing you to configure your snapshot.

Fields include a Title, Description, and the Snapshot Type. Snapshot Types are enumerated in the legend at the bottom of the dialog.

Click the Save Button to create the snapshot once you have entered the desired Title, Description, and selected the Snapshot Type from the dropdown.

It will take a moment to create the Snapshot but you should then be redirected to the initial screen and you should see the new Snapshot.


Restoring a Snapshot

To restore a snapshot, click the title of the desired snapshot to verify the associated details.

Click the Restore Button button to restore the selected snapshot.

A dialog will open giving you additional options:

To Delete relevant items not contained in the snapshot, select the checkbox for that option.

To create a snapshot of the database prior to conducting the restore, select the checkbox for that option.

To complete the restore, click the Restore Snapshot button.

You will see a brief pop up message confirming that the restore is in the works and on completion, you'll be redirected to the Snapshot page and will see any additional snapshots if you selected the Snapshot current state of database before restore for example.

If you no longer need a snapshot, you can select it from the list and click the Delete Button button to delete that snapshot.

Caution

There is no recovery option for a deleted snapshot so please enusre you no longer need that snapshot prior to deletion.
